Annette Skade, winner of the 2012 Cork Literary Review Poetry Manuscript Competition, will launch her award-winning poetry collection Thimblerig at the Bradshaw Literary Festival, a two-day Gathering event in Cork this November.
St Luke’s Church Cork will be the setting for the event which will celebrate and showcase some of the finest literary talent from Ireland and beyond.
On Thursday, November 21st the current edition of the EuroChild anthology of children’s poetry and artwork will be launched at 1pm. This lively and colourful event will celebrate the continued success of the anthology and will feature readings by children from around Ireland.
On Friday, 22nd November at 6pm the Gathering edition of the Cork Literary Review, edited by Mr Eugene O’ Connell will be launched. Celebrating its 15th edition this year, and featuring a foreword by An Taoiseach Enda Kenny, the Cork Literary Review features the work of some of the most well-established Irish poets from around the world. Thimblerig – Annette Skade’s first collection of poetry which won the Cork Literary Review Manuscript Competition in 2012 – will be officially launched during this event.
